From Cans to Knights: $32.50 donation

Hi everyone, this is Neev – I am one of the founders at Puddletown and I am teaching Level 2B class this Winter term. Have you ever wanted to help your community more? Well, now you can hear my story of how I helped out today and how you can help out too!

What we did

We recycled our cans and bottles and donated the money back (10 cents per item) to Puddletown Chess. With this money, we can use it to grow our tournaments training program, webinars, and casual nights.

How we did it

We have been collecting cans and bottles for around a year or so, and we had 325 cans and bottles, so this morning, we spent about 30 mins at the local recycling center, donated all of that money back to Puddletown, and we raised $32.50 in total!

Why we are doing this

The reason we are doing this is because we want to inspire more people to give back to their community. We believe that a little goes a very long way.

Inspiring young kids

With this small gesture, we believe that every donation can help in one way or another, and we want to inspire more young kids throughout the world to do something like this to help out their communities.

We can help you help your community!

We can also help out in your community! You can send us your zip code, and we can come down and help you donate to your own community! Maybe you can donate your proceeds to an awesome non-profit run by middle school & high school kids and helps advance chess? You its called Puddletown Chess… just joking.

Well, now you know my story, and how you can also help out.
