Emel Bio
Emel Bayrambeyli is a freshman at Lincoln Highschool. She started playing chess when she was 6. She has moved to Portland a year ago from Turkey. She has won Ankara championships in her categories several times. Her school chess team in Turkey, of which she was the team captain, has been the Ankara champion for years, and it became the Turkey Champion in 2022. After Emal moved to Portland, she tied for second place in the Oregon Open U1700 category and later won Oregon Junior Challengers Championship.
