Hey everyone! I wanted to take a moment to talk with you about a leadership change at Puddletown. Zoey and Austin have recently decided to step away from Puddletown. It’s definitely a very sad moment for all of us, especially for me and Neev. All 4 of us worked very hard for the last 3 and half years. We will cherish their company and the journey for a long time.
We’re incredibly grateful for everything they contributed, and we wish them nothing but the very best going forward.
I also want to reassure all of you that Puddletown is here to stay… for a long time. Our mission stays the same: to make chess fun, challenging, and welcoming for every student. Moving forward, I’ll be stepping into a larger teaching and leadership role, and I’m genuinely excited about what that means for all of us.
I’m looking forward to working even more closely with you, especially Level 4 students, helping you think more creatively, play with confidence, and grow not just as chess players, but as learners and teammates.
Our beloved training program will continue as-is for the most part. All of our Volunteer coaches have committed to stay and continue teaching, except for the two members who left. Because of that, myself and Hayul will step into level 4 coaching. And we are excited to work with the same students we’ve helped to get to level 4. I will see all of the level 4 students later tonight.
Change can feel strange at first, but it also brings beautiful new opportunities.
And I truly believe the future of Puddletown is bright. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together.
