Ishaan Kodarapu is the Founder and Co-President of Puddletown Chess. Ishaan is a USCF expert and is currently a freshman at Jesuit High School.
He began playing chess in kindergarten and has played chess competitively ever since. He is one of the top players in the state of Oregon. He always enjoyed playing in team events and was very instrumental in securing 1st place for the team in state-level chess tournaments. He played for Jacob Wismer Elementary and Stoller Middle schools 8 years in a row, while serving as the team captain during 4 of those years.
He also likes traveling to different cities for tournaments and enjoys meeting kids all over the country. He has played in many Nationals and North American championships. He would like to share his knowledge and experiences with his friends and young students. He is looking forward to giving back to the community as well as introducing new people from all age groups to this awesome game!
Outside of chess, he enjoys swimming, tennis, math, video games and music.

- 2nd place – 2023 OSCF State Championship – Middle School Platinum
- Co-Champion-2022 Oregon Closed Invitational (Challengers section)
- Winner of Oregon State Middle school championship 2022, and represented Oregon in the Barber National Middle School championships
- Team Captain and won First Place for Jacob Wismer Elementary School at State team championship 3 years in a row
- Team Captain and won First Place for Stoller Middle School at State team championship in 2022 and 2023.
