2025 winter - Training program

Puddletown is ready to GLIDE into our upcoming winter training program, celebrating a season of comprehensive development and growth.

NOTE:

  • If you don’t know which level the player is at, please contact us at puddletownchess (at) gmail.com. We have placement tests to determine player’s level.

Level 1

Absolute Beginner
FREE ($75 deposit)
Deposit refundable to students with 80%+ individual attendance
  • Weekly Zoom
  • Recommended for: Absolute beginners with no ratings
  • Goal => learn basic chess rules and be familiar with common checkmate patterns
  • Homework -> Evaluation -> In-class Feedback
  • Fridays 5:30pm - 6:30pm Pacific Time
  • WINTER Class Dates: 1/10, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 3/7, 3/14, 3/21

Beginner

  • Recommended for: Players with very basic chess knowledge & interest, with USCF rating 0-300
  • Goal => reach a USCF rating of 300
  • Homework -> Evaluation -> In-class Feedback
