2025 FALL - Training program
Puddletown is poised to LEAP into our fall training program, channeling the crisp momentum of the season to cultivate focus, deepen expertise, and inspire transformative growth.
NOTE:
- As of October 7, REGISTRATION FOR ALL CLASSES IS CLOED. Please reach out to puddletownchess (at) gmail.com for training queries.
- Winter training registration is expected to be open around mid-December. The first Winter session will be the first or second Friday in January.
- Our classes fill up quickly! To get on a waitlist for a class that’s sold out, please reach out to puddletownchess (at) gmail.com
- If you don’t know which level the player is at, please contact us at puddletownchess (at) gmail.com. We have placement tests to determine player’s level.
Level 1
Absolute Beginner
FREE ($100*)
$100 Deposit Refunded with 80%+ class attendance
- Weekly Zoom
- Recommended for: Absolute beginners with no ratings
- Goal => learn basic chess rules and be familiar with common checkmate patterns
- Homework -> Evaluation -> In-class Feedback
- Fridays 5:30pm - 6:30pm Pacific Time

Beginner

- Recommended for: Players with very basic chess knowledge & interest, with USCF rating 0-300
- Goal => reach a USCF rating of 300
