Ashwini Chandrashekaran is currently a junior at Sunset High School as of 2026. She first began her design journey in 9th grade through her school’s graphic design course. As her passion and interest in design grew, she began taking on larger projects, creating and producing brochures, invitations, posters, and other promotional materials.

A year later, her interest expanded into media and marketing. She began learning about marketing strategies, content creation, and ways to effectively engage and grow an audience. Alongside her interests in design and marketing, Ashwini has also been passionate about chess. She played throughout elementary and middle school and now continues to play as a member of her high school’s chess team.

With her experience in chess, design, marketing, and media, Ashwini is a huge asset to for Puddletown Chess as the Director of Marketing and Digital Media. She believes that strong communication and creative storytelling can help make chess more accessible, engaging, and welcoming to people of all ages and experience levels. She hopes to use her skills to help Puddletown Chess strengthen its online presence, grow its community, and inspire more people to discover and enjoy the game of chess.
