
Prisha Bio
Prisha Aswal is currently a 6th grader at Willamette Valley Academy. She first began her chess journey online, playing games for fun. As her skill and interest grew, she began competing in person, playing in numerous tournaments, including Puddletown.
In 2023, she led Jacob Wismer as Team Captain in the OSCF Team Championship, securing first place. In 2025, she was on the second board in the WVA team in OSCF Team Championship, the team winning 2nd place and she won the 2nd board award.
She is excited to volunteer as a chess coach, and believes that chess offers valuable life skills. It isn’t just about competition, chess also helps to develop thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and strategic planning. She would like to help build a strong foundation, to all those who are interested in learning chess.
