Bio
FIDE Master Charles Schulien has played competitive chess for over 50 years. He is a two-time State Champion in Oregon, Tennessee, and West Virginia. He also won the Ohio High School Championship. He has focused on chess instruction since moving to Oregon and enjoys team events. Chuck currently leads Team Oregon on chess.com.
Chuck reached the top of the Daily Chess rankings on chess.com earlier this year and is currently #8. He was happy to lose a game as top players are inundated with “friend requests” and messages.
